Hi, I have been using Transmac to patch the img file. In the img file I go to the location where the correct files are usr\lib\libexec\oah for the oah files... etc.

This seems to be working ok, but was curious if this was a good method?

From looking at the install.sh files that come with the patch, I know the the mach_kernel and other files are given root:wheel permissions.

When I do the drag and drop from my local Xp drive to the Transmac Img how the are permissions set? Is this a good method to patch or should I just do it in the Vmware?

Thanks

Lets put it this way, I have used Transmac to patch the oah750d file and the resulting image burnt using ultraIso has booted and installed fine.

Also I have extracted the patched oah750 and oah750d files from the Maxxuss patch Iso and put them into the Iso using Transmac also, with success as well.

Once you have dropped your replacement files into the Iso image using Transmac just close the program, you do not need to save anything, or even edit permissions.
