Hi there,

i'm looking for help. I've tried to update my samsung n310(samsung go) to snow leopard retail 10.6.4. Everithing works fine (also audio that don't need the binary patched applehda but works with the old one) except bluetooth. I've downloaded somewhere (ehehe) the 10.6.4 version of the IOBluetoothfamily.kext but it does not work. The bluetooth is correctly recognized but it's impossible to turn it off and this is a trouble for the battery life.

Everyone knows how to fix this trouble?

Thanks in advice, greetings from Italy!

I have same issue w/ dell mini 10v.

bluetooth ON option is grayed out.

can not turn OFF bluetooth.

wich chipset vendor/product id did you have in system profiler?

ID produttore: 0xa5c

ID prodotto: 0x2151

here's mine.

it is BMC2046

Prod ID: 0x02b0 - (688)

Vendor ID: 0x413c - (16684)

ok, so the issue is not for just one ID.

I've tried to take a look(right now) to the plist inside the kext and i've found both id/vendor. The trouble is maybe in the kext itself. have the new one an hardcode protection as the applehda?Have you found different version of the same kext?I found just one version but i cannot link it, is an external link. can I send you the link in pm so u can check if is the same one?

edit: i was wrong, there's no device vendopr id in file info.plist inside the kext. I've tried to add it manually. Check it out and leave a feedback if it's work or not!
