seekdestroy16
Hey all, So I am installing 10.6.2 on an ASUS M2N-E using "[intel/AMD] Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 SSE2-SSE3 Intel/AMD by Hazard". I booted from the disc successfully and I used Disk Utility to create a partition of my dedicated 1TB HDD, since I will not be installing Windows at all on this computer. I tried to reboot but the HDD would not boot at all, asking to insert a system disc. So I looked at the HCL and booted off the disc again and selected Custumize clicking all the ones it said to click on the HCL and then installed, now I get a kernal panic, as shown in the photos below. I tried to take a clear picture to show you guys what's wrong. This is what it says on the HCL, which is all the options I clicked to still get a kernal panic: * Installation method: from Mac Os X 10.5.8 on separate HDD * CPU: AMD Athlon64 x2 4600+, used newest 10.2 "legacy_kernel" * SATA: Works with IOATAFamily_SATA_Fix.kext * IDE: Works with IOATAFamily_Fix.kext * LAN: Works * Audio: Needs AppleAzalia and HDAEnabler kexts. Which one works I don't know, but it works. * USB: Works * Video: nVidia 7300GT works with NVEnabler * Additional choose AMD and dont choose bootloader * CMOS: LegacyAppleRTC My video card, if this is relevant is a EVGA GeForce 9800GT 1GB which works out of the box with dual monitors support, which is why I bought it, so that shouldnt be the cause of anything, I am guessing I just didn't click enough options in "Customize" or something?, will find out soon hopefully. I didn't want to google search that kernal panic because it's waaay to long and I would get Carpal Tunnel by the time I was finished. Any helpfuly suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/222339-asus-m2n-e-1062-kernal-panic/ Share on other sites
