Mike Ryan
Hello, I'm somewhat new to the OSx86 project and even newer to working with Snow Leopard. I have a functional install of Snow Leopard on an HP Pavilion dv2000 notebook with the exception of two things: WiFi doesn't work, and Ethernet doesn't work. Preferring WiFi, I've done a fair bit of research on the card built in and have determined that there is just no support for it yet on Snow Leopard. However, I still have hope for my ethernet card: the built-in adapter is a Marvell Yukon 88e8039. After installing a few KEXTs, I've found one that appears to be working with one exception: Instead of recognizing it as an 88e8039, it believes the card to be 88E8053 and I still cannot connect to a network through it. Any help would be hot!
