okhan
When I open photobooth, it says, "there is no camera connected". I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.4. The mic doesn't pick up any sound either although it shows up as USB mic under System Preferences>Sounds>Input. This is what shows up under System Profiler>USB: USB camera: Product ID: 0x00f7 Vendor ID: 0x045e (Microsoft Corporation) Version: 1.01 Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec Location ID: 0x3d200000 Current Available (mA): 500 Current Required (mA): 500 Please Help Me! EDIT: I got the mic working. Strangely, what I have to do to make it work is to run an application called video viewer every time I boot up and the mic works with all applications. I also sort of got the camera working. It works in macam but when I launch photobooth, it says no camera connected and under the camera menu it says for the available webcams: "macam #0: Microsoft Lifecam VX-1000 (In Use)" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/221741-microsoft-vx-1000-webcam-not-working/ Share on other sites
