berizzo
I installed a Retail disk of 10.6 on a dell optiplex 755 using EP45UD3P_OSx86_v3_STELLBLOG.app . The install and everything went fine. The machine itself has a faulty nic. I have a Intel Pro/1000 MT Dual gig nic installed in the pci slot. It works to the point it can get an ip from the router all on its own but it wont go any further than that. http, ping, netstat don't work. This is the cards controller: http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=1283 Any help from here on out would be great. Also, I had used Intel82566MM.kext to make it function as far as it is now. Sp4sm
I'm having almost the exact same problem with my Intel 1000 Pro MT (desktop), but with the AppleIntel8254XEthernet.kext that comes with 10.6.3. I did an ##### install off a retail disc, and everything works great except the NIC. I've tried just about everything with the plist. It doesn't even have a IOPCIMatch key, so I tried adding one and putting my ven and dev in... No dice. There's a IOPCIPrimaryMatch key, but I tried putting the ID in there too. Nada. I don't suppose anyone has a working 8254x kext? P.S. Yes, I'm a noob.
