gdscei
I tried to update to 10.6.4 from 10.6 with the Combo update from the Apple website. After a succesful update, i tried rebooting. I could reboot with my custom kernel, but my USB keyboard and mouse did not work anymore. I thought: maybe i have to put my loader disc again in and try putting the custom kernel again. So, i tried booting.... If i wanted to load it, it gave me a kernel panic. Included are several pictures and a video of the kernel panic. If anymore info needs to be given, just say so and i'll give it. What do i have to do? Would a 10.6.4 combo update better work? Do i need to backup something? Do i need now to reinstall Snow? Specs: -Using: EmpireEFI v1.08 i5 version -Retail Snow Leopard 10.6 -Intel core i5-750 -Gigabyte P55M-UD2 -ASUS EAH5770 That's probably the most important infos. gdscei
try with pmVersion=20 tried what you said earlier. didn't work either. I tried this: -Reinstall SL 10.6 -Download Combo Update 10.6.4 -Install 10.6.4 (no reboot yet) -Install myHack 1.01 (not the one from EmpireEFI) -Put the 10.6.4 sleepenabler from the link -Rebooted Nothing happens. Whyz? I'll try now to get teh newest EmpireEFI, maybe that works. neil43
If you are still non-operational, I suggest that you switch to TonyMacX86 and use the ##### Supported and Mulitbeast tools that Tony makes available. The only thing that I would question is support for your video card. neil Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/221398-update-finished-kernel-panic/#findComment-1493637 Share on other sites
