Hi there!

Recently I've got a problem with my Hackintosh - I am getting Kernel Panics everytime I download about 500MB of data, (XCode for example). I am including full details of my system from the System Profiler and photos of the KP. (The KP also occurs when loading Team Fortress 2)

Mini specs:

iATKOS v7 updated to 10.5.8 with iDeneb Delta Update Kit

Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8

Gigabyte GA-M52L-S3 with an NForce Chipset (I guess it's 520L)

AMD Athlon 64 x2 5200+ @ 2.7GHz

4GB of ram DDR2

ATi Radeon HD4850 (only one display working sadly...)

Sound Blaster Live! 24-Bit (SB0040)

Realtek RTL8319 (ethernet)

Please, help me!

Ren.

UPDATE:

It seems I have fixed the KP issue. All I have done is:

1. Remove the AppleNForceATA.kext from /System/Library/Extensions/ IF IT EXISTS

2. Download this file: http://darwin-ata.googlecode.com/files/App...rceATA.kext.zip

3. Unzip the file and copy the KEXT to /System/Library/Extensions/

4. Fire up Terminal and type in it:

   sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/AppleNForceATA.kext
 sudo rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

5. Make sure you don't have any CD inside your drive and reboot.

6. When booting give the bootloader flags:

   -v -f

That will do it.

7. If you will freeze at this point, don't worry, reset your Hackintosh and redo this again.

8. ...

9. Profit!

I hope I've helped :D
