I got OS X86 installed a while ago, on an old Emachines. Everything seems to work, with exception of my wireless card. It's users an Atheros chipset. I'm using the IO80211Family.kext/.../AirPortAtheros5424.kext driver... I think. :D I've loaded it, and it said it loaded fine; and I've gone in and changed the pci id settings. I don't think I've messed that up. But whenever I rebooted, it never picked up the card. :D I get this error in dmesg....

start [/sourceCache/AirPortDriverAtheros5424/AirPortDriverAtheros5424-101.2/src/driver/AtherosController.cpp:387] loaded unsuccessfully

and this error in console system.log...

WirelessAirPortDeviceNameCopy(): no AirPort driver found

It should be Mac OS X 10.4.6, and it's from hotiso. Any ideas? I did ifconfig and there were no interfaces besides the loopback and two other unimportant looking ones. :-(

I experience just the same problem, this time with Atheros 5005G card (168c, 001a):

start [/sourceCache/AirPortDriverAtheros5424/AirPortDriverAtheros5424-100.21/src/driver/AtherosController.cpp:391] loaded unsuccessfully

also No Airport driver found.

I have even installed 10.4.5 kexts which do not need Info.plist patching (i.e. my device ID is already in the list).

Anyone?
