Hey,

I've installed OsX86 succesfully before, but on the machine I'm using right now, the install DVD refuses to boot. Booting normally with "-v" boot flag results it to restart the computer. However, when I use "cpus=1 -v" , it boots but hangs on something like this,

waiting on <dict ID=0 etc etc...

My specs are here,

Processor - Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 - SSE3 SSSE3

Video - Intel GMA X4500

Motherboard - Asus P5QL-VM EPU

HardDrive - 625GB Hitachi SATA Drive

6 GB DDR2 Ram @ 400MHZ

I'm using iPC OSx86 PP5 Universal Final also, does anyone know what could be my problem? Thanks.

You failed to post the DVD you were using.

Sometimes if you equip. is old you need an older version, and if it's new you might need a newer version.

It could also be something as simple as Speed Step mistakingly being enabled in the BIOS.. it could be something as complex as hardware being obstructive..

you have to provide more info.

SpeedStep was enabled, disabling didn't help though. I said I'm using iPC OSx86 DVD burnt on a Verbatim DVD-R. I enabled SATA to be configured as AHCI in the bios. I tried a different combination of boot flags. It might be my processor considering I have to type cpus=1 as a boot flag for it to boot. If I don't it just restarts the PC. I don't know what more information I could provide. It gets stuck on waiting for dict id 0 the continues with stuff like IOProviderClass, IOResources, and IOResourcesMatch, if that helps at all
