john123 Posted July 17, 2006 Share Posted July 17, 2006 When I put in the installation dvd (10.3) into my laptop's dvd drive, and restart it, it gets stuck on the grey boot screen with the crossed out circle. When i do -x or whatever it is for "diagnostic startup" it hangs on "still waiting for root device". I heard its something to do with the jumper on the hard drive, but its set to master.
