Kernel Panic and 'Transfer Old Files' Boot Loop

I am trying to install Snow Leopard onto my laptop and pc.

PC - Core 2 Quad Q8300 2.5ghz, 4gb RAM, Nvidia Geforce 9500GT 1gb, LG DVD R/RW, 1 500gb HDD, 1 1.5tb HDD.

Laptop - Core 2 Duo Processor T5750 2.0ghz, 4gb RAM, ATI Radeon HD3470 256mb, DVD R/RW, 1 250gb HDD.

I have partitioned my PC's 500gb HDD and my laptops 250gb for the OS.

Now when I boot in safe mode I get as far as the 'Transfer Mac Data' screen then it stops. If I don't boot in safe mode I get a kernel panic.

I have tried using this guide but 'passwd root' doesn't work for me.

I am also using the Legacy kernel.

Can anyone offer any help or guidance?

Vanilla? I'm downloading another disk atm. Can you tell me more about Vanilla or send a link or both.

Vanilla is the original, is already as default, just do not check anything under "Kernel"

you are using "release" or "retail"?

So basically just the original hazard disk, no kernel selected? Oh and yeh, it's hazards.

yes

not select anything in the kernel and not the video

after it is already inside the system you solve it

make a clean installation

Mac Os x 10.6.2

Boot loaders---> Pcefi 10.5

Kernel---> no

Graphics---> no

Audio---> no

Network---> no

Laptop---> only if a laptop

System support---> Cmos reset fix(o ElliotForceLegacyRTC

*Discover what your SATA/ATA and check this option too!

Amd ---> If you are AMD, of course.

You can also mark the "Rosetta, QuickTime and x11"

ahci enabled in your bios

within the mac osx install what you need

after installation

use the "arch=i386 -f -v"

Can you explain that to me please I don't quite get it. Is there an option on the disk what I need to select?

And is the boot loader a necessity? I already have the default working thanks to EasyBCD 2.0.

Ah okay. Is the boot loader option important then?

Oh and will I have to use "arch=i386 -f -v" all the time or just once?

Okay I've done all that now all I get is the 'You need to restart your computer screen' again.

Okay, I've now booted in safe mode and got into the OS, desktop etc. But what next?

Problem after problem, now I can't boot my laptop, gets stuck at the Acer screen and crashes.

regarding the error, use the-v and see the message

may be the appletymcedriver.kext

see what the problem is and delete the kext

-s

mount -uw /

rm -rf /system/library/extensions/namekext.kext

exit

Okay, with the disk in I'm getting past acer scren and I get my 'Phoenix Bios' screen

Saying a device function error.

Then all my IRQs are not configured.

And I can either F1 resume or F2 setup.

Without disk in I can do the same, but when it starts I get Media test fail then operating system not found. Can I fix it from here or do I need to make Windows 7 Partition active again or do a reformat? Or do something in my BIOS.

Before anything, go in bios and set your hd as bootpriority

if not solve then follow the procedure below

--------------

Boot from Dvd Install

go into terminal

diskutil list (see the number of hd and partition)

after

Boot from Dvd Install

F8

use rd=disk0s1

"0" your hd

"1" your partiton macosx

install in the partition macosx installed

If this does work what do you mean install? Just drag it to the partition?

do the procedure above

entering the system you install this .pkg in the partition(snow leopard)

.pkg Macosx = .Exe in windows

****If you use the package up or do a manual installation, should have no problem. The secret is to use the fdisk command included in the binary packages Chameleon. The installer was made up by taking this precaution.

Installs only the boot volume and boot1h selected, and the MBR boot0, recording only the initial 440 bytes to avoid damaging the boot of Windows 7 and Vista. It also makes active the selected partition (for partitions and MBR hybrid MBR).

Useful for when you need to reinstall Chameleon (Windows installation in dual boot).

Okay well I'm back where I was before, i can boot into it at safe mode, but that's it, I have no sound, network, I believe USB, not 100% haven't tried rebooting with the device plugged in. So I can't access any kexts or anything to help my system. I'm going bed now, I hope you can help me again tomorrow.
