MaLd0n
you can use a modified version (eg Hazard) but the best thing to do is the installation retail Bootcd + snow leopard retail but the modified work well the hazard is cool the forum is full of tutorials http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=185932 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/220916-problems-installing-snow-leopard-using-vmware-workstation-710-build-261024/#findComment-1486737 Share on other sites
timbojill
I have a dual core Itel Centrino laptop. And get the two error messages with VMWare. both 7.0 and 7.1. When I try the ##### method the disc load but when I switch to the Snow Leopard DVD it crashes at the apple load screen. It say a bunch of Panics on it. I get one of the following error messages "The cpu has been disabled by the guest operating system" or "invalid front-side bus frequency 66000000". I have the same problem for weeks now. I really get crazy, because I think nobody in the whole internet has a solution for this..... You using Snowy_VM ? I use it with the "Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 SSE2 SSE3 Intel AMD Version" from Hazard.... you can use a modified version (eg Hazard) but the best thing to do is the installation retail Bootcd + snow leopard retail but the modified work well the hazard is cool the forum is full of tutorials http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=185932 Hazard doesn't work on my pc. I've tried like 20 Tutorials on Youtube in the last 3 days (I've holydays....) and nothing worked. And the end I have always the same "66000000 hz. Cpu disabled"-problem -.- p.s.: I have Windows 7 32Bit, Vmware Workstation 7.0.1 (tried anything with 7.0.0.too....) jy371
Trying to install Snow Leopard using VMWare Workstation 7. 0. Tried 7.0 and 7.1.0 build-261024. I get one of the following error messages "The cpu has been disabled by the guest operating system" or "invalid front-side bus frequency 66000000". You should enable the virtualization in BIOS to get rid of the error message. There is a good tutorial Installing Snow Leopard on VMWare 7 for Windows.
