nikjenikje
Hi there, Has anyone gotten an external USB audio interface to work with their Hackintosh install? The problem is, I have a Line 6 POD Studio UX-2 and it's not initializing. That is, the software that comes with it won't even recognize it's connected. And the lights that are supposed to go on on the device itself don't do anything either. Works fine when I boot into Windows Doesn't work at all when I boot the same PC into Snow Leopard 10.6.3 Also works fine when I connect it to a MacBook using Snow Leopard 10.6.3, so I think we can rule out compatibility issues. I installed OSX using Kakewalk (link) on the hardware in my sig, then updated everything using software update and fixed any issues using kexts from kexts.com (the only issue being the internal sound card on my mobo needed an additional kext). All other USB devices work fine, although they don't really have much power requirements from the USB bus because they're either low voltage devices or come with an external AC adapter I've already tried using a USB hub with AC adapter, also no progress.. It's weird to me though because everything else works perfectly. One thing I have tried is removing all audio kexts step by step and putting them back in every combination possible, just to see if the internal sound was conflicting with the decive. Nothing helped. Thanks for your help, it will be greatly appreciated. Nik. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/220212-usb-external-soundcard/ Share on other sites
