eido
I am trying to install Snow Leopard using the Boot-132 method on this system: Asus P5Q-Pro, Intel Q6600, 2x4096GB RAM, Radeon HD 4850 I'm loading Boot-132 from a cd and have a vanilla SL 10.6 dvd restored to a hdd. When I hit enter to boot from the hdd with SL restored to it, it hangs at: "Loading Darwin/x86 Loading kernel mach_kernel Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4232f00. Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4232f00." If I boot with -v -x, I see the same, and then it goes to a black screen. I should also mention that I have one monitor connected by dvi and a dvi2vga converter in the other port (as per a guide I saw online), before I did this I would get the same black screen immediately after hitting enter to boot from the SL hdd, regardless of what commands I used. Any ideas on how I can get past this? Thanks.

eido
Well I removed 4 gigs of ram, and the exact same thing happened, it might've been my imagination but it seemed like it hung at those two lines a little longer before going black.... Anyway, I'm going to try using this method: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1433618 instead of Boot-132 now, as it is specifically for my mobo
