MC Gamer
Hey everyone! I was a lurker around the forums, reading up on OSx86 and the works and with your help, I was able to get it on my old laptop with no problems. However, I am worried about installing Snow Leopard on my new computer I bought and thought it would be best to give my specs and see if anyone knows my best route, as well as hopefully linking a few tutorials I might need, as I have a feeling this system might be a bit more complex than just install and go! So here is my specs! (This is not a custom build, this is a customized buy from HP. Wasn't feeling up to a build for my main work computer) - ATi Radeon HD 4850 graphics card - Basic DVD R+-W writing drive with Lightscribe - Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n Dualband Wireless - Intel 82567V-2 Gigabit LAN - Intel Core i7 930 Processor (Not overclocked@ 2.80GHz) - Creative SB X-Fi Titanium Sound Card (Btw, a great card) - Hauppanuge WinTV HVR-1290 TV Tuner (built in) - 1 TB HP hard drive (I believe it's a 2x500GB RAID. Not completely sure.) - 12 GB RAM ---- Well that's essentially it. As not much of a serious techy when it comes to OSx86, any help the community can lend me would be great. A few searches here on the forums led me to quite a bit of confusion as most of it relied on previous knowledge! Hopefully if I can get going I can contribute to the forums even more. Great community here. Hopefully you all will pull through! Thanks in advance! (Also, dual boot will be necessary, sorry if this complicates things, lol)
