i try to install autocad beta1 for mac but i got this error at start of installing...

HARDVARE YOU ARE USING IS NOT SUPPORT BY THIS VERSION OF AUTOCAD

can someone help me. i have hackintosh 10.6.3 working fine

I've not seen autocad for the mac, where did you get it from? I'd be interested in that.

Autocad is supported through using parallels, give that a try.

You can use most windows programs with parallels, I'm running inventor.

Without looking at it, I would think it might be a problem similar to Silverlight not installing. It does a check for the CPU and if Intel isn't returned it thinks it's PowerPC.

Maybe you can open the installer package (right click -> Show package contents) and find the installer script. See if it runs a check for Intel CPUs.

Also, the link posted from MacRumors, states it's 64 bit only. I'm not sure if AMD chips are capable of running 64 bit programs in OSX. Could that be an issue? Obviously I don't know your hardware set up.

Totally valid points.

The first thing you should do is find out which Macs are supported by the application you are trying to run.

Then try to reconfigure your Hackintosh so that it appears to be one of the supported models.

You need to concentrate your effort in the following areas:

Make sure you're using a model identifer and additional DMI info that matches a Mac that can run the application you're trying to run (you do this by editing smbios.plist, google "smbios.plist" and, for example, "MacPro3,1 DMI" (without the quotes) for more information)

CPU spoofing or CPU properly identified (recent versions of the Chameleon bootloader and derivatives can do this, there's also an extension by DigitalDJ named CPUInjector.kext). As rfuilrez said above, it can help with compatibility if your CPU is seen by the OS as a CPU that Apple uses - for example a Core 2 Quad ID'd as a Xeon CPU.

Make sure you have your built-in ethernet properly set up as 'internal' and EN0 (Use Chameleon or derivative bootloader with EthernetBuiltin = yes in com.apple.Boot.plist or a DSDT patch or other fix that does the same thing).

Whether "64-bit kernel and drivers" mode is required or not and find out what you have to do to get that working. Snow Leopard boots in 64-bit mode by default on platforms that support it. On a Hackintosh this requires an Intel CPU with EM64T instruction set (AMD won't work as far as I know) and you must use a Mac model identifier from a Mac that has 64-bit EFI firmware.

Make sure hardware accelerated graphics (QE/CI) is fully working and that your video card is supported by the application, and that the drivers for it work in 64-bit mode, if required.

i love apple i mackintosh and i need autodesk autocad.

dont give me answer like this please it's not necessery

no offence but you need to configure your machine so the hardware is more like a real mac, i just downloaded and installed it just fine (without a serial, it's just a 30 day demo anyways)

Your smbios.plist is invalid and a complete mess, you have information mixed from both MacPro4,1 and 3,1, and it's missing some strings.

All the other screenshots you've posted are useless, sorry.

Here's a better MacPro3,1 smbios.plist (no serial number).

smbios.plist.zip

Read about how to make your own, authentic Mac serial number here:

http://prasys.co.cc/2009/11/understanding-mac-serial-number/

Add the memory info yourself - you don't need to add anything for the unpopulated slots 2, 4 and 6 - if you don't set any info for a particular slot, that slot will be listed as empty in System Profiler automatically.

If you want to have smmempart and smmemmanufacter shown for all populated slots in System Profiler you need to fill them out like you have done with the serial numbers - smmempart_1, smmempart_3, smmemmanufacter_1 and so on.

But why did you use bogus serial numbers? If you're going to use bogus serial numbers it's even more pointless, all of that is only cosmetic anyway. If you're going to bother adding the memory stuff at all at least add real info... ;) You can get it with CPU-Z in Windows.

AsereBLN is a great Chameleon variant with some cool features, but it will not fix his issues.

Not using a broken smbios.plist will.

Though if he upgrades to AsereBLN 1.1.9, he doesn't need to add any memory info (including type and speed) to smbios.plist, AsereBLN detects and sets that automatically (provided his memory controller is supported - according to his broken smbios.plist bobenia is using DDR3 RAM so it might be a new board with a yet unsupported chipset).

That won't do anything for compatibility though, it's solely for the purpose of having System Profiler show the memory info.
