mediax
Hello everybody, I've got a very special issue on my hackintosh (10.5.8) My laptop works very well except sound especially when (the most of time) i use it on battery Got sound crackling The issue disappear when the main power is connected My computer is a HP Nc6220 with AC97 (ICH6) SoundMAx chipset (id 0x266e8086) (Codec ADI1981B) I think the Audio kext running good (because on main power everything fine) An other thing, when i use voodoobattery.kext the issue is present on both situations (battery & main) So actually I'm running Leopard without voodoo kext Do you have a idea what going wrong on my Leopard install? mediax
Problem solved ! Deactivating SpeedStep (decreasing my laptop live on battery ...so better than bad sound) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/219499-sound-running-bad-on-battery-run-fine-on-main-power/#findComment-1476396 Share on other sites
mediax
i've found an other workaround i let the speestep working Then when i have to listen music or watching movies i simply use coolbookcontroller to load CPU at 20% With this workaround, the CPU still at maximum frequency (like speedstep disable) and no more sound crackling ! I hope this threat will be useful for others Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/219499-sound-running-bad-on-battery-run-fine-on-main-power/#findComment-1476399 Share on other sites
