RichP
Hi - having an issue getting a eGalax USB touchscreen (the $34 DealExtreme item) to work with either Leopard or Snow Leopard. In Leopard touching the screen anywhere moves the mouse pointer to the middle of the dock and it stays "locked" there for about a minute. Moving the trackpad/external mouse doesn't work to free it. In SL touching the screen causes a random size rectangular box to be drawn and this time, the mouse pointer locks near that box. After about a minute the box disappears and mouse control is restored. I know the TS is working because it works perfectly in XP. I've tried several versions of the TouchKit kexts/config software and the results are the same as without a kext installed. Also I can't get the config utility to run as when it goes to the first touch point the program just waits as it's not receiving a valid touch. Here's the controller info from Profiler: Product ID: 0x0001 Vendor ID: 0x0eef Manufacturer: eGalax Inc. Location ID: 0xfd81000 Any suggestions what to try next? RichP
Update - looks like the screen itself is bad. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/219458-egalax-usb-touchscreen-problem-with-asus-701/#findComment-1476928 Share on other sites
