OSX86 Tools error

Hi all,

I have SL10.6 installed on a Asrock ION330. The system is running better and better.

When I start OSX86Tools and hit one of the button I get a error message:

Applescript error

Can't make "0" into type boolean. (-1700)

I have the admin rights but for some reason I can not get past this point.

What is also strange is that I do not have a "com.apple.boot.plist" any where on the system but it is booting correctly.

I can change setting with for the startup in EFIstudio.

Does the one have to do with the other? :D

thanks

Is there some one with a isea about this.

I can copy a "com.apple.boot.plist"into the extra folder and then the system will boot with the settings of this file. When I want to edit the com.apple.boot.plist I have to first copy it out of the extra folder and edit it outside the extra folder and then after saving it I have to copy it back into the extra folder.

It works but it is a strange way.

I was looking into OSX86Tools to help with Kext installs for a 10.6.x fresh install and apparently the project has been dropped (dig around on google... everything points to the project having stopped).

The final version of OSX86Tools that was released in 2008 (v1.0.150.build.150) does not support Snow Leopard... probably why you're getting errors.

There's a Kext Helper B7 here:

Kext Helper B7

and Kext Utility 2.4.2 here:

Kext Utility 2.4.2

I haven't personally used either of these yet, but the Kext Utility appears to be working in SL:

Happy Kexting!
