9500GT (GDDR3 & 1GB)

I posted this on the Moderated NVIDIA forums, but they did not let it through. so this is the next best forum.

 

I am looking for a 9500GT to use for an easy install, no kexts or DSDT Patching. so I can get my Hack running to 10.6.3 and than add the kext for my main card. after I want to add this inexpensive 9500GT to my current/old computer so my sister can play the sims etc.

 

So the card is being used for more than just an easy Snow Leopard Install. so thats why I am going to care about the quality of the card as listed below

 

GDDR3

1GB

 

Do the GDDR3 or 1GB Versions of the 9500GT have full compatibility? the main basic of the 9500GT is the 512MB GDDR2 versions. Similar to the 120 GT used in real Macs.

 

I am leaning to an XFX 512mb GDDR3 model. but I am unsure the GDDR3 throws off the out-of-the-box compatibility. otherwise could I get one of the GDDR2 1GB cards?

 

 

If anybody can tell me from experience with one of the GDDR3 cards, please fill me in.
