MKEGuy
Anyone have any ideas? The dimm works just fine. But about this mac still shows that its only running 1 GB. I tried updating extensions, regenerating the dsml file and restarting countless times. MKEGuy
I've searched my butt off. The only thing I could find was some talk about higher ram amounts recognizing half of what they really had. But we are talking about 4 or 8 gigs on completely different machines. They were talking about 32 bit vs 64 bit issues. Not sure that it applies to my situation. I have emailed the ebay seller I purchased the ram from asking if he's ever had an issue with a faulty stick or a stick being packaged incorrectly. I took apart my machine again and made sure it was fully seated. I've run NBI again, no luck. Even bios recognizes it as 1 gig so I'm starting to think its more the stick itself then anything I am or am not doing. Still open to input from others though. Memory is made by Centon. MKEGuy
As best as I can tell this memory was mispackaged or a factory defect. I would have jumped to that faster but being that this 10v is hackintoshed I didnt know if there was something I was missing. Ebay seller refunded my money and I'll be ordering another stick shortly.
