I have heard that OpenGL was reduced somewhat in 10.6.3 but it's real bad for me.

- In StarCraft 2, I get 2 FPS and mad graphic glitches.

- The OS itself though is snappy though

So my questions are:

1. Do GMA950 owners with 10.6.3 notice reduced performance?

2. Is performance better in Leopard or anything lower then 10.6.3?

3. Is performance reduced THAT much when compared to ^ ?

Srsly, 2 FPS in OpenGL at SC2 isn't bad. It's more than I expected.

It's a "feature" of your graphics card - GMAs are {censored}. Buy a new one.

I know it's {censored} but surely it has to be better then that? Unless OS X drivers really suck that much when compared to any other OS (even Linux)? But I would of expected a big company like Apple supply drivers that were better then ones supported by a open community on Linux?

This is not about driver. GMA950 is just a {censored}. Even my GMA 4500MHD is crappy, both under Windows and Linux (no Mac OSX ;)

Wow, way to be unhelpful people.

For the record, I noticed a significant degradation in performance using that card after updating to 10.6.3. I've tried using supposedly patched kexts for 10.6.3 but these just give me a blank screen when I try to boot. I'm not sure how to resolve this but nobody has been any help in my topic on this issue so far either.

Yes, people on this forum are a bunch of retarded people, but there a few ones who can shine.

Btw, yes, the slow performance is only on Snow Leopard.

I managed to Run Doom3, UT2004 and Homeworld 2 on Leopard (10.5.8) much faster that in windows. I just upgraded to snow leopard and I can`t even reproduce the animation on my Adium window.

I need to add that the system (quark express i guess) animations are smooth and faster than I experienced on Leopard.

On Leopard i used patched kexts for my video, here in Snow Im using retail and native video kext.

Not sure if that it`s the problem, but I would be expecting a mayor performance using native drivers than the patched ones.

Still looking for a solution for this.
