UglyLittleSpud Posted May 17, 2010 Share Posted May 17, 2010 Hi, I currently have a hackintosh that I *thought* was perfect until I tried using my Canon HF10 camcorder with it. Basically, if I try and capture using either iMovie or FCP, both apps crash. Hardware: Asus P5K Pro Q6600 @ 3.1ghz 4gb Ram ATI Radeon 4870 Snow Leopard 10.6.2 (Retail) I've seen a few other posts about this problem, but has there ever been a definite fix? enderbh Posted May 27, 2010 Share Posted May 27, 2010 Having the same type of issue with my Canon HF20 camcorder. Running 10.6.3 EP45-DSL3, 2.83GHz Core 2 Duo, 8GB, and nVidia GTX 260 896Mb. Sometimes iMovie will freeze, and other times it won't. Seems like it is just taking a long time to read from the camera. When I have been able to import, half of the videos fail. This being said. I'm not having any issues with my late 2007 MBP 15' importing from this camera into iMovie. It's running 4Gb's, 8600GT, and 2.2GHz Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
