Hey all,

I just finsihed installing OSx86, all seemed to go well, but when I restarted and was expected acronis to boot up, I got an error, saying it couldn't find the selected boot partition or something along those lines...

Here is how I had my HD set up...

Partition 1: 70 GBish Vista Installed

Partition 2: 12GB for use for OSx86

Partition 3: 75GB storage

Partition 4: 75GB for Windows XP

For some reason all the partitions after partition 1 were always grouped as an "extended partition" together

So then, now when I hit enter after acronis gives an error message, the vista bootloader opens up, and gives me Vista and XP as choices, Vista boots properly, but when I try to boot XP, it says it can't find the partition. In Vista when it boots up it finds the 1st and 4th partitions, but it can't find my 3rd partition of backups... If I boot the partition magic backup disks it says that it has a bad partition table, and if I boot it up using the ignore partition error protocol, it says that partition 1, 2, and 4 are good. But then there are two partitions of unallocated space....

Is there any way I can recover at least the important files from my 3rd partition using some Hard Drive tool?

Thanks for the help!
