michael.su
What kernel did you choose in the installer? I'm not sure that there is anyway you can tell after the fact...... BTW, your link is broken.

michael.su
Well, your processor appears to be capable of running Vanilla.....That being said, I don't know of a way to check. hopefully someone else will chime in. If it wasn't capable of vanilla at least we would know you have a hacked kernel but now it could go either way. unfortunately, your memory is your best bet. The only other thing I can tell you is..... 1) Back up your kexts and Make a time machine backup (so you can restore if you hose your installation with the update) 2) pick one, Hacked or Vanilla and go with it. If it doesn't work, restore with Time machine and try the other. Good Luck!
willpower101
man, i didn't even think to do this. I shot for the idenab 10.5.7 combo update and it literally killed everything. I have a TON of stuff on there too and it would be a serious pain to backup and restore at this point. i wish I could get back into the system. i have to catch a couple hours sleep, but i will post more details later.
