Inspiron 1520 trackpad and USB mouse not working

Hey guys, neither my trackpad nor USB mouse work in the Snow Leopard installer. The keyboard, however, works fine. I'm wondering if my logic or method might be off:

I'm restoring the Snow Leopard Retail DVD to a USB stick and installing Chameleon 2.0-RC3 on top of it. I have a modified DSDT that I generated and edited with the RTC fix and the KP fix for my Intel PATA controller. I can now boot and get into the installer.

Once I get into the installer, the keyboard works fine, but the trackpad doesn't work. I plug a USB mouse in and that doesn't work either.

I found a few threads with Inspiron 1520 guides with some recommended kexts to get a PS2 mouse and the USB ports working, including VoodooPS2, so I put those in /Extra/Extensions on the USB drive. I can see them loaded if I boot with -v, but the mouse still refuses to work.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It's possible that I'm completely retarded as I haven't done a Vanilla SL install in like 6 months. Thanks!
