I have been reading non stop for 10 days now.

Very little info on why the OEM DVD cant be used to install.

Some facts.

A friend used a OEM Snow Lepard disk to load the OS on his laptop. But now cant find the disk.

I have procured a OEM disk of Lepard.

With the Boot CD I am able to boot, run system profiler all my hardware is detected. Down to the keyboard, the hard disk the blue tooth everything shows up as working.

But I cant install it says Cant load OS X on this Computer ?

Why and whats the fix.

I have also downloaded ipC and OSX Retail DVD from the torrent site but neiter of these downloads even boot into the Mac OS.

It would seem the OEM CD is 99% there.

Does the OEM OSX DVD have the customize installation menu for the installer or is it locked for a specific hardware combination?

Personally, I've never tried it.

As far as the disc images you downloaded....If you can't boot from them there is something wrong with your disc. prior to burning , did you check the disc image check-sum to verify that the image was not comprimised?

iPC 10.5.6 works fine for me
