RT2860 Snow Leopard Kext with dmesg

I am trying to find the proper software to get my RT2860 WiFi card to work. I know native most likely won't be possible, but I will take what I can get. I am on Snow Leopard 10.6.0, and on an Intel Atom N270 processor. (It is a custom tablet computer with netbook specs) OSX runs perfectly on it, (besides needing the boot disk to start up. NetbookCD) besides the WiFi card. I installed the driver from the Ralink website, to no avail. All it did was add an ethernet device that won't even work with ethernet. Is the a kext I could install to get it to work properly?

Here is a log:

  • 1 year later...

The latest RaLink RT2860 OS X driver works for all but WPA/WPA2 Enterprise. I needed to install the Snow Leopard version first, to get their updated menubar Utility and then install the 10.5 driver to get the wireless to connect.

The SL driver seemed to read transmission fine, but could not connect. The 10.5 driver has a less capable Utility program that is does not do any wpa and is "clunkier".

I think I remember the latest driver dated about May 13, 2011 on their site. The previous versions also worked similarly, but had the clunkier utility. I am using an ASUS 1000H with 10.6.7. Only BT does not work. In fact, it has to be disabled in BIOS or my X won't load. I think that happened at about the 10.6 update level.
