pallen38
I have been trying to get my native resolution for a while (1280x800) with 10.4.6 and 10.4.5, with no luck. I have heard it's not possible but due to a post I saw on the hardware wiki, I decided to try 10.4.4. I used the Myzar 10.4.4 DVD and didn't apply the 10.4.5 updates, and then loaded Callisto B003 right after installation. It seems to have took (I see it recognize my x1600 during boot, and I see that it is using Callisto) and when the system comes up, I know have a lot of options for resolution, including 1280x800. When I try it though the screen goes blue (like it would right before a normal change) but then just locks. Nothing happens and there is nothing I can do but reboot. I tried it a couple of times with 1280x800, and then decided to try 800x600 just to see if it would work, but the result was the same. It seems so close.... is there anything I can do to get this working? Thanks! pallen38
I tried the Boris method (several times) but it did not seem to work with my internal display - it would only work if I had an external monitor attached. pallen38
Has anyone else been able, with their internal display, to change their resolution with a mobility x1600?
