Hey guys.

As you may guess I have got some problems with my post-install of Snow Leopard. I think I have everything working now including graphics with Quartz Extreme, audio, Wifi and hibernation.

My last problem is that I can't halt/reboot anymore, my computer stops at the spinning circle. Have tried OpenHaltReboot and EvOReboot Kexts, they didn't help. I think I just messed up something in my DSDT as I just patched it with various tutorials.

Another annoying problem comes up when staying away from PC: the DVD drive regularly turns on. This expresses itself by some noise coming up and a flashin light.

My system: Asus P5B Deluxe, ATI Radeon HD4350, DWA 547, SATA HDD, SATA DVD (LG somewhat), Chameleon RC4/PCEFI 10.6

Hope you can help and keep up good work in here.

Thanks, DVD seems to get fixed by this. Halt/Reboot fixed itself... just started working without doing anything.

Just another question: sometimes, maybe every 30 minutes, my computer just makes a little noise, like "click". Not that important, but does someone know a fix for this?

No, I would say it's definitly not a beep. But it is short, half a second maybe. But I will try to discover where it is located.

Edit: Think I discovered it, it should be my HDD, so it's probably normal.

Edit2: Shutdown/Reboot stopped working again. Nice...

lol - {censored} happens!

Seriously, check out Master Chief's DSDT. Since you have an ASUS board, most of it can be adapted to your own DSDT, I'm using almost all of it on both boards in my sig.

Start with the first one, first compare his unmodified DSDT to an unmodified DSDT from your own board. Then download and study his first modified version, compare to his unmodified one, compare to yours.. etc etc.

Didn't tell you but I already did it before opening this thread. Most of his fixes are put in my DSDT. I just found another DSDT-fix for shutdown issues, worked perfectly. So, everythings working right now. Thanks for your effort :(
