gwendoline
As I installed Snow Leo I couldn't change the resolution to my ACER V203h's native of 1600x900. It is connected via DVI-I to VGA Adapter to the VGA Input of the display. What I had to to is to change the cable. What I didn't know was, that the display communication with the graphics adapter was not working. Changing to a different cable (it is now the cable that was delivered with the display - it's rather short but it'll do it for a while. Know my Hackintosh is fully operational... ...this was my last major issue. (Still working on sound input.) DDC2 is now working. DDC2 allows bidirectional communication: monitor can tell its parameters and the computer can adjust monitor settings. I hope someone find this useful, I've looking for weeks now for the solution of my resolution issue.
