I have a 160gb HD and when I first got my computer (3 weeks ago) it had 2 portions (Local Drive C:108gb's and D:50gb's) and when I tryed to install mac osx 10.4.6 myzar I didnt have much experience with the partition software (Partion Magic) and I by accident deleted the D drive and osx aswell....which I feel very stupid for doing but what I want to do is recover the 40gb D drive and make it to a format that I can install OSX on and I want to make it take up the whole partition (40gb's) using this software: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php by booting from the cd though I'm not sure exactly how to do that...if you guys could tell me how and give me some kind of tutorial or guide on using partition software that would be great. I want to dual boot windows xp home and mac osx (windows xp would be on the C HD). I successfully did this before but I did not have the second partition for mac osx stretched out into the full capacity of the D drive. I by accident used the disk utility on the mac osx boot disc and deleted my winxp drive by accident by I learned from that :) and hopefully I can do it right this time.
