Ed
Apple's iPad launch in the US has been overwhelmingly successful - so much so that everyone else across the rest of the world will now have to wait til the "end of May" to be able to purchase the all-new device from Apple. "Although we have delivered more than 500,000 iPads during its first week, demand is far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks as more people see and touch an iPad," Apple said. "We have also taken a large number of pre-orders for iPad 3G models for delivery by the end of April." This will come as disappointment to many, although it hasn't stopped some people from picking one up in the US and bringing it home. However, rest assured that once iPads do eventually start shipping internationally, both the WiFi-only and WiFi & 3G versions will be available from launch. jonnny_j22
Very excited about this! Seems the UK release may be heading for a further delays though. I'm also a little worried about the price; estimates have been from £499, which is a massive mark up on the US price.
