Awesome86
Here's the hardware list, Motherboard: ECS A780GM-A CPU: Phenom II X4 965 3.4ghz Memory: 6GB DDR2 800 GPU: Sapphire 4870x2 Monitor: Daewoo LUCOMS L2200 Installation Method: Ideneb 1.6 10.5.8, marking USB fix, PS2 fix, CPUS=1 fix, Voodoo Kernel, Azelia Audio, AppleYukon2 network, Busratio=17 boot fix, forcing graphics mode to 1680x1050x32. GPU Installation problem description: I have tried so many drivers for the 4870x2, including: ATY_Init.kext, LegacyATI4800Controller.kext, Enabler_for_Nvidia_and_multiple_ATI_cards.pkg, QECI_1058.pkg, Natit.kext. None of those drivers made QE/CI work, and all of them caused a weird problem that makes the mouse pointer freeze for a second every few seconds. - I tried downloading Groth's Zeus software to install 4870x2, same exact result as the other drivers. - I tried enabling QE by force using OSX86 tools, no luck. Everywhere I went someone said "accel.tar.bz", but I can't find that package anywhere (since rapidshare.de is no more). All the drivers I tried made the resolution 1680x1050 work flawlessly (without a driver it would go into 1400x1050 or something), but 3d mode off and mouse freezing every few seconds issue. So, to sum up, after trying to install all those drivers (not all at once) I got the following problems: - Mouse freezes for a second every few seconds. - Quartz Extreme disabled. How can I properly install 4870x2 on a 10.5.8? Thank you for the help.
