Graphic mode problem

Hello All!

I tried to install 10.4.6 natively on my desktop PC, but my installation is not starting properly. When it should go into graphical mode (i compared with installation of the same version on my laptop) it stays in text mode and nothing happens. I tried every combination of boot parameters but effect is the same. I installed 10.4.6 using VMWare on physical drive without any problems but when I try to boot this installation natively I also cannot go into the graphical mode. I got message "Login Window Application Started" and nothing happens. I searched forum for solutions but without any success. Os is working ok in VMWare but I would like to run it natively because under VMWare system is very slow. Below You can find my HW configuration:

AMD sempron 64 2800+

Asus K8N4-Deluxe (nForce 4)

Leadtek GeForce 6600 TD PCIExpress

HD 120 GB IDE

I tried also with other versions of Mac but effect was the same. I think somethink is wrong with my Graphics card (settings in BIOS??). MY hardware is on HCL so I think OS sould run on it.

If someone has any advices please post it because I'm a little bit desperate after two days of fighting :)

Thanks in advance

Beton

Hello

As it wrote i installed it in VMWare on physical drive (not to image file on windows partition|) so I can boot system in VMWare and also in native mode (same installation). Problem is that under VMware system runs ok but natively system is not booting into graphical mode.

Hello

Additional information

When my Mac OS is still in text mode during native boot and it seems to hang - it is not hanging. I think it runs properly just doesnt't shows graphical inferface for some reason. I think that because when I press Alt+F5 I can hear some assistant telling that some speech service was on/off. When it is on and I try to type not my password on my keyboard (login window should be visible) this assistant says login failed". So the system is up and running just graphical interface is not shown.

Maybe someone can tell my how to select default graphics driver (generic one) to load during boot. When boot loader shows up it says that my Video card is VESA 3.0 Nvidia 511MB. Matbe there is possibility to select something different than this.

Thanks in advance

I tried also different setting in BIOS - effect the same.

Maybe graphical output is on DVI port ( i don't have DVI display device)????
