Hessi
Hello, my system is C2D 2.0 on ASRock ConRoe1333-D677 (BIOS P1.30). iAtkos V7 updated to 10.5.8. For more than a year I used onboard GMA950 without any problems. Several days before, I buyed a Asus EAH4870 (512). It works perfectly on a small DVI-TFT, but doesn't recognize a 22" VGA-TFT. It's connected via DVI2VGA-Adapter and a VGA-Cable. Both are able to handle a DDC-signal. Profiler tells me on the small Monitor: Chipsatz-Modell: ATI Radeon HD 4870 Typ: Monitor Bus: PCIe Steckplatz: Slot-1 PCIe-Lane-Breite: x16 VRAM (gesamt): 512 MB Hersteller: ATI (0x1002) Geräte-ID: 0x9440 Versions-ID: 0x0000 ROM-Version: 113-B7710C-176 EFI-Treiberversion: 01.00.318 Monitore: SyncMaster: Auflösung: 1440 x 900 @ 60 Hz Farbtiefe: 32-Bit Farbe Core Image: Hardware-unterstützt Hauptmonitor: Ja Synchronisierung: Aus Eingeschaltet: Ja Quartz Extreme: Unterstützt Rotation: Unterstützt Monitoranschluss: Status: Kein Monitor angeschlossen QE and CI are activated. "A monitor isn't connected" – strange. I've tried several kexts and read most of the threads here and anywhere. Actually I lost track of installed versions. Kextstat tells me: ...73 4 0x2e13c000 0x1d000 0x1c000 com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily (1.7.3) <17 7 6 5 4> ... 84 0 0x345fc000 0xcd000 0xcc000 com.apple.ATIRadeonX2000 (5.4.8) <82 73 17 12 7 6 5 4 2> ... 86 0 0x2e312000 0xb000 0xa000 com.dong.driver.ATY_Init (1.0.0d1) <17 12> ... 88 0 0x3d223000 0xc5000 0xc4000 com.apple.kext.ATY_Motmot (5.4.8) <82 73 18 17 6 5 4 2> ... I've added 1680x1050x32 to boot.plist without effect. I'm going crazy! Any hints? TIA Regards Michael Edit: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple$ <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <string>cpus=2</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>1680x1050x32</string> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>No</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>device-properties</key> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1680x1080x32@60</string> I've added also a kernel flag for the resolution, but without effect! :(
Hessi
Now I'm in trouble, cause my son takes back his 19" DVI-Monitor. Im sitting in front of a 22"-Monitor , starring at 1280x960 and going crazy. Please, give me a hint! TIA Michael
Hessi
Finaly, I've used netkas 10.5 http://netkas.org/?p=271, set Graphics Enalbler to yes in boot.plist. Now I've got a 1680-Resolution. Systemprofiler shows a "ATI HD 4800", have no idea if it will cause perfomance-issues. Guess I have to boot with Win to play games.
