I have a working triple boot in this order: Linux, OSX and XP. I'm having issues with sleep IBM R60. I installed a 'fix' that now freezes the machine at the desktop. So I need to boot into safe mode, or command line and fix this. The problem is I don't get that option because I'm using Grub, that's what I think anyway. Got ideas, please say. There's no support on this online. F8 does not work.

Boot from the cd, but when it says to press any key to boot from the cd, don't,then you should get the option to boot intomac osx and the option to boot into safe mode

This is a promising solution. It will require mastery of the command line, but there's no way out of that. Thanks a lot.
