i'm very glad to announce to you that my amd is an osx converted system

my hardware:

AMD Athlon 64 (K8 ClawHammer 754) 3.0ghz at (2.0ghz)

Gigabyte K8T800M with 768mb ram

Abit siluro NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440

Realtek RTL8139/810x ethernet card onboard

Realtek AC'97 Audio for VIA onboard

firewire OHCI link layer controller

Skystar 2 dvb controller

Maxtor L300S0 SATA 300gb (with linux and window64)

Maxtor 5Y12OP0 PATA 120gb (with osx86)

Samsung TS-H552B DVD/CD writer

well, in native mode my xbench result is 38, only cpu result is 30; my previous benchmark in wmware was 14, only cpu 29

network and firewire work well, also sata drive, display is only 1024x768 not accelerate, audio work only left channel

my install method is with vmware, with tiger-x86 image.. i'm using vmware for some day, installing maxxus ss3 patch, delete tpm extension, and work fine.. but slow

so i decide to make a native installation.. i have installed darwing and upgraded it to 8.1.0, then i'm copy my whole image to hd with carboncopy (from vmware)and.. it work!

i has some problems with preview application and quicktime.. so i decide to copy them from my mac mini and now work well with rosetta :P

i have test my osx86 system converting a mpg in dvx.. compared to my macmini (1.5ghz) is a little bit slow.. get 10 second less ever 3 minutes (mac mini cpu bench is 60!)

and... i need x86 driver for my skystar2! :P

regards

kfree
