soren121 Posted April 11, 2010 Share Posted April 11, 2010 I have a feeling that my sound card is retarded. It's a Sigmatel STAC9750, using the AC97 kext. It is extremely loud. When the volume slider is as far down as it can go, sound still blares from the internal speakers. Also, it doesn't understand the concept of muting. When I mute it with Fn+End or use the volume slider, I still hear ads and app sounds from my speakers. Any clue as to why this is happening?
