Snow Leopard Cmos hack. The corruption of the bios is caused by an excessive value in the RTC that causes memory conflicts with other drivers. Device (RTC) { Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0B00")) Name (_CRS, ResourceTemplate () { IO (Decode16, 0x0070, // Range Minimum 0x0070, // Range Maximum 0x00, // Alignment 0x04, // Length <---------------- The 0x04 value causes corruption in the bios using Snow Leopard. ) }) } So we change the code to this: Device (RTC) { Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0B00")) Name (_CRS, ResourceTemplate () { IO (Decode16, 0x0070, // Range Minimum 0x0070, // Range Maximum 0x00, // Alignment 0x02, // Length <---------------- The 0x04 Value corrected to 0x02 to avoid the corruption of the CMOS. ) }) } download DSDTSE from the EvOsx86 team it will let you open your DSDT and edit the code then re compile it. Beerkex'd
Try Chameleon 2.0 RC5 (not officially released yet, but available here on IM) with automatic memory detection, or AsereBLN 1.1.9: http://www.efixusers.com/showthread.php?t=644 Or if you're already using Chameleon 2.0 you can edit smbios.plist with your correct memory speed and type (I guess you have DDR3), read here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1400949 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/215021-need-help/#findComment-1445368 Share on other sites
