SL/W7 Dual Boot works, BUT doesn't work?

Setup:

 

p5q deluxe (ATI 4850), used PC EFI 10.6 to install

 

So... I just installed SL & W7 on 2 separate HD and using EasyBCD 2.0 (#92). If I boot into the W7 HD first and use W7 bootloader to load SL, it uses chameleon to boot and it KP's (cannot even boot into safe mode).

 

If I boot into the SL HD first and use PC EFI Bootloader, it loads SL no problem (I think the KP is ATIx2000 related).

 

I would like to be able to use the W7 bootloader so that W7 is my primary OS and loads by default. I had no problem with 10.5.8!

 

Not sure why EasyBCD/W7 accesses chameleon as the bootloader but SL accesses PC EFI as the bootloader.

 

Please ask any questions you need to help solve this. I'll give more details when I understand what is needed.

you can use chameleon/pc efi and set windows 7 to boot by default. i dont know if that solves your issue but i thought that it doesn't hurt to post it anyway.

 

"for default boot partition add this to Boot.plist

<key>Default Partition</key>

<string>hd(x,y)</string>

whereas x is your hdd number and y is your partition number (you will get this info in Disk Utility and in Terminal with: diskutil list)"

Well... It works just fine! I had always used Windows HD to determine which OS I booted, now I am using the Mac HD to do it. It boots right into windows first.

 

Same result, just different way of doing it. Thanks!
