A month ago I've built my first Hackintosh with Asus P5B SE motherboard, 2GB RAM, 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo and GeForce 9600 GT 1GB. This was big speed bump for me since my previous Mac OS X computer was PPC G4 1.4 GHz.

I installed Retail Snow Leopard 10.6, with instructions from MacLoader_SL_0.4 package, and after that i applied 10.6.2 combo update.

With few additional kexts everything was working except Sleep function and TV-Out.

Few days ago I updated to 10.6.3, I had to update sleepenabler (sleep function still doesn't work), and now going to restart is much faster (almost instant) and TV-Out (S-video) is working.

I use this kexts:

AttansicL1Ethernet.kext

CPUi_snow.kext

EvOreboot.kext

fakesmc.kext

IOPCIFamily.kext

Nvenabler 64.kext

NullCPUPowerManagement.kext

SleepEnabler.kext

VoodooHDA.kext

One more thing I still didn't succeed to accomplish is to have functional "Put the hard disk to sleep when possible" even this option is turned on. I have four hard disks and most of the time I need only one disk for download from stuff internet, other three could go to sleep, but they refuse to spin down.. Does anybody have advice what should I try to do to have this option functional?

Regards...

 Same thing with P5B deluxe.

Everything works and X-Fi too, but sleep. I have s3 mode and when i put it to sleep, monitor going off, but HDD and FANS are ON. After that i can't wake.

Previous situation about year ago gave me full s3 sleep with HDD and FANS off, but never Wake UP.

It seems there is no chance, expect S1 mode, but i will try some kexts and settings.

Hi,

I also have a ASUS P5B SE and I'm having some problems with 10.6.4 crashing whenever I actually try to use the system! Is there any chance you could send my the kexts you have used, or a link to download them, I'm struggling to try to find them!

Cheers,

Dave
