Hello everyone,

after installed, SL retail boot only on safe mode, my DVD drive do not recognize any type of media once a booted up (i think its an IOATA error, 'cause when i try to open the drive manually, it doesnt response, but when i clic the "eject" button on the top os SL bar, it works.

As well, i also cant insert any files to SL. The USB do not recognize my Pendrives... (its formated as FAT or NTFS)

MY QUESTION IS: How do i will add kexts or fixes to repair this errors, if i cannot open any external media on the SL???

PLeaase, help me, team!

Thanks a lot.

That is perfectly normal, Macs don't have a manual eject button. Is your DVD drive P-ATA or S-ATA and what make/model drive controller is it attached to?

What if the USB drive is already plugged in during boot? Do other USB devices work? Post your USB BIOS settings.

If you have working internet or filesharing you can download them or copy them from another computer via LAN.

There is no team.

Beerkex'd,

Thank you for you tips, but if you think that people of this forum is not a team, its just because you dont have any team spirit, but not the others.

Thank you again. I'll try another way.

Most of the people who make things happen around here are working for themselves, some share their work, some don't. Some work in small groups, and some only work for money. There is no "team". Least of all a "support team".

It's ironic how you're calling me out for not being a team player, and then refusing to play ball ("I'll try another way").

I asked you three questions - I need that information to be able to help you. Anyone else you ask for help will ask you the same questions.

Nothings's ironic. Do me a favor of do not post in my topic. You are just a single player, (no teams) did you forget?

Keep on with the individuality.

He's trying to help you man, but looks like you want magic, not help.

I asked the same question about your DVD drive and ATA controller in the portuguese forum and you didn't answer.

Old, nice to meet you here again!

See, once i told troubles looks like IOATA error, my drive should be ATA (different of SATA) isn't is? Moreover, in my first post openning the portuguese topic i described my config. But its no prob, even because i just solved the IOATA error by installing kexts with some app that i cant remember right now... Nevertheless, thank you again. Since i've been entered this forum you (and some others) gave all me the help necessary to make my Hackintosh works out.

And i am not here to fight. And i dont wanna any magic, but i also dont wanna anyone put my name in shame by bads considerations.

So long...
