Dear friends,

I have planned to buy an assembled system for Snow Leopard. I want your help to guide me in buying this system with whatever is compatible with Snow Leopard. I also want to install SL from a retail disc if possible, otherwise please suggest me a distro for my config. I want to run XCode mainly and multimedia for entertainment.

My Config:

Intel Core i3-530 2.93 GHz processor (I'm low on budget)

Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H mobo OR MSI H55-GD65 mobo

Seagate 500 GB SATA hdd

2GB DDR3 RAM 1333 MHz

400 W PSU

LG SATA DL-DVD Writer

I'm not sure whether this mobo will be supported by SL. Please help me in deciding whether this system is sufficient for SL or suggest a config valid for SL. I'm low on budget so I can't go for Intel Core i5 based system. Please help. Thanks in advance! I would be happy to have options.

Thanks!

If you can't go i5 either wait until you can, or go with a Core 2 Duo system. I don't think there has been much

success with i3.

Gigabyte Motherboard - search around the forum to see what's most compatible

Nvidia Video card - 9500 GT is a good one.

Make sure the hard drive and optical drive are both SATA

the rest you can pretty much pick what you want.
