10.6.2 working perfect! questions arise

I recently installed the SL 10.6.2 by Hazard distro and everything is working perfectly!! But I have some questions in regards to the update, kexts and DSDT. I have done some research on the forums and google but haven't found any specific answers to these questions yet

 

1.From my understanding, DSDT is to enable all 64-bit/ all cores? How do I know if it is enabled by default? or it current status? currently SL is booting up fine with my BIOS set to all cores, so it should be enabled right?

 

2.How do I know what kexts are currently installed/active or need? from what I can see in the extension folder, there are some kexts highlighted in different colors but I am not sure what this means.

 

3. What do I need to prep for the 10.6.3 update? is it the same for all hackintosh installations, because I have noticed mention of sleepenabler and other patches needed.

 

4. If you get a kernel panic at boot, is the mac OSX install ruined or is it possible to fix the problems from the loader?

 

Hardware:

-ASUS P6T w/ i7

-EVGA GTX 275

-1.5 TB w/ dual-boot using Chameleon (SL & Windows 7 64-bit)

 

Options checked at install:

-Marvel Yukon driver

-NVEnabler

-10.6.2 combo

-Chameleon (RC4 i believe)

EVERYTHING ELSE LEFT UNCHECKED.
