For audio, I have output but no mic in on my iATKOS 10.5.7 install. Also I just tested whether I had headphone out - nope. So my Azalia audio (bizarrely in Sys Profiler calling my audio 'Intel HDA') is actually overriding a completely non-functional Realtek soundcard. I don't use headphones so no big deal but would love mic in... Skype etc.

Anyone out there got the fixed kext for the basic one in/one out single-duplex Realtek HDA card? (no optical, no line in/line out, no 5.1, just mic in/headphone out) - (driver v. 6.0.1.5449)

Thanks, desperate for this. The other fixes I've seen in my searches have been for the more advanced Realtek cards.

System:

Sony VAIO VGN-NR280E

Moble Intel 965 Express Chipset

4 GB DDR2 667

OS X 10.5.7 + Win 7 Ultimate x64 Dual-boot with BootThink

Intel GMA X3100 Video (QE/CI enabled)

All working except Realtek HDA (have Azalia audio out, speakers only), and Firewire.

ExpressCard/34 not tested yet

Just plugged it in and it works.......

Hmm... so gives you functional one in/one out, but how does it affect the speakers? Does it allow Audio to play thru speakers if no headphones plugged in?
