the mac 13
Hi guys, Am on 10.6.3 with P5Q, everything working ok with no major issues except sleep. I saw the kext from http://code.google.com/p/xnu-sleep-enabler/ which I decided to install. It installed fine, rebooted then tried sleeping. It worked! However, I noticed that I have to unplug and replug my USB mouse and keyboard to get them usable. Then sound starts producing this cracking and distorted sound. This only occurs after sleep. Before sleep the audio works fine. Any help? oldnapalm
What kext do you use for audio? If it's VoodooHDA you may try the latest version (2.5.6), which fixes this issue. http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=483 About the USB after sleep issue, you can fix that restoring previous IOUSBHIDDriver.kext (it's inside IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns). Hi, got the Audio working, however, USB still not working after following your instructions. But I guess it's ok, the USB ports are facing me when I use the PC. Thanks! I removed _PRW from the USB device in DSDT so the system doesn't wake by USB. Using the power button to wake, keyboard and mouse keep working. Thank you about this answer. I got audio working but how I actually can restore that IOUSBHIDDriver.kext? It's inside IOUSBFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns, you have to copy the one from 10.6.2, but this "fix" doesn't work for all mobos. Had to connect mouse cord somewhere its easy to reconnect after sleep...
