xameleon Posted March 30, 2010 Share Posted March 30, 2010 i have upgrade my machine now have pentium 4 3ghz 775socket 2gb ram ddr400 1tb hard disk hitachi serial ata bluray recorder Lg nvidia 8400gs pcie i cant install version bigger from kalyway 10.5.2 i want 10.5.8 i can only use the kalyway comboupdate 10.5.3 after 10.5.4 i get kernel panic when i try other versions iatkos(10.5.5,10.5.7)ideneb(from 10.5.5 to 10.5.8) blah blah blah after successfull or unsuccessfull setup the machine is reboot or getting kernel panic and i have big problem with the kext of nvidia,but first i need support for the update and kernel panic please somone help! I'm afraid you're stuck with voodoo kernal or one of the hacked kalyway kernals .. Mac Boy Posted March 30, 2010 Share Posted March 30, 2010 I have 10.5.8 and 10.6.0 installed and running on an old P4. I had to choose the right kernel, usually voodoo worked. Also if you get EFI related panics, use chameleon rc3.
