This may be a stretch, but does anyone else have a Toneport UX2 working on a hackintosh build? I cant seem to get it to work. I have tried everything, but when under audio prefs it says "no output devices found" and when I go the the line6 preference pane, it says nothing is connected. HOWEVER, when I go to system profiler, under USB, it finds that there is a toneport UX2 hooked up to one of the ports! So i dont get why it cant see it!

I have a line6 Podxt Pro on my hackintosh (iDeneb 10.5.8 lite) and it works.

Have you downloaded latest driver from line6 site? I've never had a problem with my pod.

iam using the retail install method of snow leopard 10.6.2 as it is described here.

the drivers are the final snow leopard drivers which they released a few weeks ago...

maybe there is a conflict with custom kext for the onboard audio?

thx

I'm sorry, but I cannot help you, my podxt pro worked also on my old notebook with Kaliway 10.5.2, with iDeneb 10.5.7 and iDeneb 10.5.8.

This is a "UP" for you, I hope that someone can help you! Bye!

I built my hackintosh using a pc I already had with a gigabyte motherboard and nvidia card, so snow leopard went on very easily and I haven't had very many problems with software up to this point.

I dug out my line6 ux1 and installed and updated it's drivers. The computer sees the interface but when I arm a track in recording software like garageband all I get is a pulsating noise. This thing works fine on my macbook but I'd like to record a bit with the hackintosh.

Eventually I want to get something that would work with pro tools but for now I'd like to use the old ux1. If anyone has an idea on this or has made it work please let me know.

I'm also trying to figure out how to start the computer without having to have the ##### cd in the computer. My computer has osx on one hard drive and xp on the other drive and I'd like to be able to run the computer with the bios changed so I don't need the CD in there. Everywhere I've looked into this it gets very complicated and since I'm not a true hacker it all seems very intimidating.

Dude I am having the same problem!

Hey peeps.. I've been having the same problem..

I sorta fixed it.. Only lame thing is you have to boot up with arch=i386

So yeah no 64bit if you wanna use the toneport

me too with Snow Leopard (iAtkos S3) in 64 bit mode have the problem.

If I start with srch=i386 the Podxt Pro works correctly!

Hello, I´m having the same problem with Iatkos S3 V2 and the Upgrade to 10.6.5 with my Toneport UX8. The device is shown in System profiler as recognized and installed but not found by the Line6 software and not as audio outout/input device.

This ist what system profiler says:USB-Hochgeschwindigkeits-Bus:

Ort für Host-Controller: USB (Integriert)

Treiber für Host-Controller: AppleUSBEHCI

PCI Geräte-ID: 0x3a3a

PCI Revisions-ID: 0x0000

PCI Hersteller-ID: 0x8086

Bus-Nummer: 0xfd

TonePort UX8:

Produkt-ID: 0x4149

Hersteller-ID: 0x0e41

Version: 0.00

Geschwindigkeit: Bis zu 480 MBit/s

Hersteller: Line 6

Standort-ID: 0xfd600000

Verfügbare Stromstärke (mA): 500

Erforderliche Stromstärke (mA): 100

Is there anything wrong?

Also I notice that with kextload I get this error:

janblohm$ sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/Line6Audio.kext

/System/Library/Extensions/Line6Audio.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) requested architecture/executable not found; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8).

Because I am a beginner in OSX86 I do not understand this message.

Thanks for any help :P

I have a Toneport UX2 and had it working fine on 10.5.8 iDaneb; and previously on 10.4. Since my upgrade to Snow Leopard iAtkos S3 10.6.3 (today) it no longer works.

If you go to the Line 6 website you'll see that they dont currently have any 64 bit drivers for Snow Leopard, they are out for Win 7 but says they dont have any release date as yet for 64 bit drivers for the mac which is a bit of a blow as far as I'm concerned. I love the UX2 and do all my music stuff on Garageband so am extremely p'd off at the moment.

I think all we can do is hope Line 6 get their act together and release a new driver soon.
